teamLab Phenomena explores how environmental phenomena interact with their surroundings, creating artworks that change our perception of the world.

Traditionally, human creations were defined by stable physical matter, like stones. In contrast, the artwork at teamLab Phenomena relies on its environment for existence; it cannot exist alone. The environment produces phenomena, which shape the artwork.

Everyday elements like air, water, and light transform into phenomena within this unique environment, creating a continuous and ambiguous existence.

Sprawling over 17,000 sqm, teamLab Phenomena lies on the waterfront of Saadiyat Cultural District. The pristine white exterior curves and dips to form organic shapes that flow into the surroundings.

The exteriors and interiors blend into each other, as though connected by one skin. Within the structure are different immense spaces that flow into each other seamlessly.

When was teamLab Phenomena built? With construction beginning in 2021, the experience first opened its doors to the public in 2025.
